Christopher Botfield

Business Principal - Accredited Biodiversity Assessor B. Environmental Management (B. App.Sc PRH) CSU

Christopher obtained his bachelor’s degree from Charles Sturt University and now studying for Master of Environmental Management qualification. Chris has experience in environmental resource assessment and extensive experience in Indigenous land management, vegetation assessment and landowner consultations. Christopher is an Accredited Biodiversity Assessor for the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016.Christopher spent several years as a Senior Manager with the Dubbo Regional Council in the environmental and project management field. This experience provided the foundation for the establishment of an environmental consultancy partnership/business in 2000. As a former Principal of that business Christopher has directly developed and managed major projects funded and supported by all levels of government. The management and delivery of Commonwealth contracts has been a major role.As the Principal of the firm, Chris is a key member of the team that has developed and delivered Environmental Planning and Resource Development projects associated with major investment projects. His specialities relate to project planning, detailed field survey work and consultation. Chris has a long history in developing project specific outcomes for REF, EIS and similar reports that require integrated project development and management. Chris has consistently demonstrated and applied his high-level communication and facilitation skills on many levels. Chris’ degree qualifications include Cultural Resource Management and Aboriginal Land Management which are applied to cultural heritage surveys within the assessment framework.
